Research Las Vegas
When writing a book. It is not just about writing. It is about research. Alot of the places I will be writing about are no longer in existence.
Thank the Lord for Google. As, I am in research mode for the many hotel/casinos that I will be writing about. Such as; The Dunes, The Sands, The Hacienda, The Landmark, The Marina, The Lady Luck, The Stardust and The Desert Inn Hotel/Casino. These were some of the hotels that I spent a lot of time in as a young Showgirl.
Even though some of the locations do not exist anymore, they were and still are a part of Las Vegas history. Never to be forgotten.
This is an exciting time for me. To tell the life that I led as a Showgirl for 15 years and to give you an idea of what the life was like back than. It truly was a magical time, yet it had its dark side. The dark side I would always be attracted too. I didn't want the ordinary life, I wanted to experience life in Las Vegas from all angles. And, I surely did!
I will do my best to give colorful stories of the Vegas that I know and love.
Let the Showgirl live forever in the history of our city of Las Vegas.

Synopsis First draft
Ive been working diligently on my book. Tonight Im working on my synopsis. This is just a first draft. Of course I will change it and update. Its not quite done, but here is a first look.
A true story about a young dancer named Scarlett from Los
Angeles, California. Seeking to make it big in Las Vegas, NV as a showgirl.
Arriving to Las Vegas in 1987, having been one of the first graduates
of the famous Los Angeles County H.S. for the Performing Arts. She has an
immense talent, beauty and determination. She does whatever it takes to get
into some of the biggest shows in Las Vegas. Nothing will stand in her way.
She attends UNLV in 1987 for a brief time then gets her
first dancing gig for a show in Lake Tahoe, NV. After 6 months in Lake Tahoe,
she auditions for one of the biggest production shows in Las Vegas,”Les Folies
Bergere’ at the Tropicana Hotel/Casino. She becomes one of the youngest dancers
to perform in this famous show in 1988.
Scarlett goes onto to perform in more than a dozen
production shows in Las Vegas and around the world.
Her life onstage, backstage and offstage is filled with
intriguing stories about the local mob, drugs, sex, violence, love and
heartbreak.
Eventually her career as showgirl comes to end in late
November 2002.
Her story is compelling and shows both sides of Las Vegas.
The best of times and the worst of times.

The Beginning Again
This is my first blog for the beginning of my journey in writing my story..The Las Vegas Showgirl.
The first time I began writing was in 2009. But, I later destroyed all the content. Then in 2011 I attempted a second time, but was not happy with myself at that time. So, once again I destroyed all content.
I've always heard that the third time is the charm! And, now I feel free to write my story.
I want to share my experience in the writing process. It will not be an easy thing to do as I have so much to compartmentalize. But I feel it will be a story the world will want to read.
It will be filled with juicy Las Vegas stories and history. I will be as creative and colorful as my writing will allow. I have always been somewhat of a storyteller and writer. Im happy to say that my mind is open and free to explore all that has been dying to get out.
This is a free speech country and I will tell the truth. Names will change and locations will be altered as I write. I am not doing this to directly hurt anyone. I am sure some will be upset, but its my story to tell from my point of view.
